My Dogs Trainer – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by My Dogs Trainer (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By booking with us, the client (“you”, “your”) confirms acceptance of these Terms.

1. Services Provided

We offer:
   •    Residential training programmes
   •    Obedience and behavioural training
   •    Handover and follow-up sessions
  All services are delivered by qualified trainers operating within professional kennel facilities.

2. Booking, Payments & Deposits
   •    Bookings require a non-refundable deposit to secure your space.
   •    Spaces are limited; a deposit guarantees trainer allocation and kennel reservation.
   •    Full payment must be made before or on the day of arrival unless agreed otherwise in writing.
   •    Failure to pay may result in cancellation without refund.

3. Cancellations

3.1 Client Cancellations
   •    14+ days before start date – No additional fees, deposit is non-refundable.
   •    Within 14 days of start date – 50% of the programme remains payable.
   •    Within 72 hours, or no-show – Full programme fee remains payable.

3.2 Provider Cancellations

If we must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered either:
   •    An alternative date, or
   •    A full refund of any amount paid (excluding completed services or extras)

4. Kennel Environment Acknowledgement

Our training programmes operate within a professional kennel environment.
By booking, you confirm that:
   •    You understand your dog will be kenneled throughout their stay.
   •    You have assessed your dog’s suitability for kennels before booking.
   •    You accept full responsibility for determining whether your dog can cope in a kennel environment.

If your dog cannot settle

If your dog:
   •    Refuses to eat
   •    Shows significant distress
   •    Cannot adjust to kennels
   •    Displays anxiety that compromises welfare

…we may request immediate collection.

No refund will be issued in these circumstances, and all fees up to collection remain payable.

5. Client Responsibility & Accurate Information

You must provide full and honest details regarding your dog, including:
   •    Behavioural history
   •    Reactivity or aggression
   •    Bite history
   •    Medical needs
   •    Medication
   •    Dietary requirements
   •    Previous training
   •    Handling risks

Failure to disclose relevant information may result in:
   •    Early termination of the programme
   •    No refund issued
   •    Additional charges for damage, injury, or veterinary care

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue training if the dog poses a safety risk.

6. Veterinary Care & Emergencies

If your dog becomes unwell or injured:
   •    We will seek veterinary attention from our partnered vets or the nearest available practice.
   •    You agree to cover all veterinary costs.
   •    We may request early collection if your dog cannot continue safely.

If a dog arrives unwell or with a contagious condition, we may refuse intake and the full fee may remain payable.

7. Early Termination (Welfare, Behaviour or Owner Factors)

Training may be ended early if:
   •    The dog’s welfare is compromised
   •    The dog becomes unsafe to handle
   •    Severe anxiety prevents progress
   •    The dog’s behaviour poses a risk to staff or other dogs
   •    Undisclosed behavioural issues emerge
   •    The dog cannot settle in kennels
   •    You fail to follow instructions relating to welfare or safety

Fees already incurred remain payable and no refund is guaranteed.

8. Training Expectations & Owner Commitment

You acknowledge that:
   •    No trainer can guarantee specific behavioural outcomes.
   •    Every dog learns at a different pace.
   •    Long-term results depend on your consistency after the programme.
   •    Regression may occur if training is not maintained.
   •    Some behaviours require long-term or ongoing work.

You agree to follow all handover guidance, instructions, and training plans provided.

9. Handover & Follow-Up Sessions
   •    Handover sessions must be attended at the scheduled time.
   •    If missed or cancelled, the session may be forfeited.
   •    We will attempt one reschedule where possible.
   •    Follow-up sessions must be used within the agreed time period; expired sessions cannot be refunded or exchanged.

10. Boarding & Daily Care

During your dog’s stay:
   •    Dogs are kept in individual kennels
   •    They receive daily exercise, toilet breaks, and enrichment
   •    Kennels are cleaned and disinfected regularly
   •    Dogs must arrive with their own food to avoid stomach upset

We are not responsible for:
   •    Wear and tear to personal items (blankets, toys, leads)
   •    Loss or destruction caused by your dog
   •    Weight gain/loss if linked to stress, feeding changes, or behavioural factors

  • My Dogs Trainer are not liable for any boarding & daily care as this is provided by a separate business as a partnership. If you are unhappy with the boarding and care you must contact My Dogs Trainer to provide suitable alternative.

11. Owner Availability & Collection

You must remain contactable throughout your dog’s stay.
You agree to:
   •    Collect your dog immediately if requested on welfare or safety grounds
   •    Pay any outstanding fees on collection

Failure to collect your dog promptly may incur additional boarding fees.

12. Photography & Media

By default, you consent to:
   •    Photos and videos of your dog being taken during training
   •    Their use in updates, reports, and social media
   •    Their use in marketing, unless you request otherwise in writing

13. Complaints Procedure

If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service, you must:
   1.    Contact us within 5 working days of the issue arising
   2.    Allow us reasonable time to investigate
   3.    Provide any information requested

Refunds will not be considered unless this process is followed.

14. Refunds

All refunds are subject to the Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

Refunds will not be issued when:
   •    A dog cannot cope in kennels
   •    Behaviour differs from expectations
   •    Training requires longer than the chosen programme
   •    Owners do not maintain training at home
   •    Undisclosed behavioural issues emerge
   •    Handover/follow-up sessions are missed
   •    Training is ended for welfare or safety reasons

  • For boarding and kennelling fees

15. Chargebacks & Disputes

You agree not to initiate a chargeback without:
   •    Contacting us first
   •    Following the complaints process
   •    Allowing us to provide evidence to resolve the matter

We reserve the right to recover:
   •    Administrative fees
   •    Legal costs
   •    Payment processor charges
…incurred due to false or unwarranted chargebacks.

16. Liability

We are not liable for:
   •    Injury caused by pre-existing behaviours
   •    Illness arising from undisclosed medical conditions
   •    Vet bills
   •    Damage or loss of personal items
   •    Behaviour regression once the dog returns home
   •    Injuries caused by your dog to staff or other dogs

  • Day to day feeding and boarding duties as this is provided by the Boarding facility directly

17. Acceptance of Terms

By paying a deposit, making a booking, or attending training, you confirm that:
   •    You have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions
   •    You understand and accept the kennel environment
   •    You have read and accepted the Refund Policy
   •    You accept responsibility for your dog’s behaviour, welfare, and suitability for training
